Congratulations to this year’s scholarship recipient Bella Carroto!
Bella is the daughter of Loren and Chad Carroto. She was the Salutatorian of her graduating class and served as president of her class throughout high school while serving as the student representative on the Charleroi Board of Education her senior year. Athletically, our recipient served as a three-year soccer captain and a two-year basketball captain. She was a 100-goal scorer in soccer, only the fifth in Charleroi soccer history. She was named to the All-WPIAL Soccer Team both her junior and senior years. Bella was also named to the Conference Basketball Team the same two years. In track she won the section 6AA javelin throw her junior and senior years. Bella will attend the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg majoring in Biology.
