The Mon Valley YMCA offers two summer programs for families with children who are too old for traditional day care but not ready for long summer days home alone while mom and dad work.
Summer Tween Club and Summer Teen Club offer kids ages 11-16 the opportunity to spend the summer utilizing all the YMCA has to offer. This includes both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hiking trails, the gymnasium and of course the Youth & Teen Room, which boasts its own fitness equipment, ping pong table, full library, board games and more! Participants in these programs also have the opportunity to participate in field trips and enjoy guest speakers throughout the summer.
This summer, Washington Drug and Alcohol Commission will be doing weekly, age appropriate prevention programs that are hands-on.
Both groups are supervised by experienced staff who keep kids engaged all summer long.
Interested families can contact the Youth and Teen Director, Angel Gulick, at email@example.com or by calling the Y at 724-483-8077 for more information.
