A personal trainer can assess your fitness level, set up a program for you and keep you motivated. He or she will push you past your comfort level, which is sometimes difficult to do on your own.
A personal trainer also provides:
- guidance on setting realistic goals
- education about strength, cardio and flexibility training
- a reason to show up at the gym each week
- accountability
- ways to help track your progress
- a designed workout plan customized for you
Arrangements for Personal Training must be discussed with a specific Trainer. Session are dependent on Trainer’s availability. Payments must be made in advance in the Business Office of the Y. Cancellations must be given with atleast two hours in advance notice or client will be charged for the session.
